BSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies are taught along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units conduct a successful camping experience. Completion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack overnighter. BALOO training includes an introduction to outdoor camping skills as well as important BSA rules and policies to be followed on any Cub Scout campout.

There is an online BALOO Prerequisite that must be completed prior to attending. Log in to my.scouting.org to complete this training. Course completion card will not be handed out if the online training is not completed. Please bring your certificate with you to check-in.

May 17-19th

The (IOLS) course builds and expands on the concepts and themes introduced in Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training and provides Scouters with the confidence to take youth into the outdoors. Specifically, this hands-on program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a boy-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors.

This course will give you the skills needed to take your Scout Troop camping. Sessions will include: Knots & Ropes, Wood tools, Fire Building, First-Aid and more!

This is an overnight training. Please bring your essential camping items with you, including a tent and sleeping bag. Come Prepared to Camp.
